Common Name Rimann's Bulbophyllum - In China Yuan Ban Da Bao Lan

Flower Size 1/4" [8 mm]

Found in Myanmar, Thailand and Yunnan provvince of China in forests on tree trunks at elevations around 1500 to 1750 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with .6" [1.5 cm] between each ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apcial, erect, oblong, leathery, contracted below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, slender, 2 to 3.2" [5 to 8 cm] long, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with 2 to 3 sheaths and ovate-lanceolate, membraneous, acute floral bracts.

CAUTION There may be more than species represented here or a very color variable flower with many differences in the petals and column. Reference material on Sect. Sunipia are hard to come by so I have put them all here. The first matches the photos and drawings, but the others do not in the petals and in the column. The lip remains very constant between them all. I await better references to be able to ID them all correctly.
