Common Name The Filiform Taeniophyllum [refers to the slender inflorescence]

Found in the Andaman Islands, Thailand, penninsular Malaysia, Java, Sumatra, Borneo, the Lesser Sunda Islands, Sulawesi and New Guinea in lowland primary forests at elevations around 100 to 700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with cylindric, long, often free of substrate, slender, with distinct white spotted roots and giving rise to no leaves that blooms on a slender, .6 to 2" [1.5 to 5 cm] long, successively several flowered inforescence with very close, overlapping, 2 ranked bracts.
