Found in New Guinea in montane forests at elevations around 300 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with no leaves that blooms in the fall on a serrate, filiform, to 2.4" [6 cm] long, densely few to several flowered inflorescence with minute triangular floral bracts.

Schlechter stated that the flowers are yellow with a whitish very long spur.
