Found in New Guinea on trees at elevations around 1200 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte without leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a comb-like, setiform, 1.6" [4 cm] long, densely, successively single, 10 to 15 flowered inflorescence with triangular, acuminate floral bracts.

Schlechter stated that the flowers are a yellowish white.
