Found in New Guinea on trees at elevations around 400 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte without leaves that blooms in the fall on a subepedunculate, laxly, successively single, 5 to 10 flowered inflorescence with triangular floral bracts.

Schlechter stated that the flowers are sulphur yellow with a paler spur.
