Found in New Guinea on trees at elevations around 900 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte without leaves that blooms in the fall on a densely muricate-hispid, 3.6" [9 cm] long, subdense, successively single, several flowered inflorescence with triangular floral bracts.

Schlechter stated that the flowers are white with a with soft velvety barbs outside, the lip has a red spot in front and the tip of the spur is red.
