Found in the Chinese Himalayas, southern Yunnan province of China, Thailand and Vietnam as a small sized terrestrial with a strongly 4 angled pseudobulb carrying a single, apcial, erect, broadly ovate, acute to slightly acuminate, somewhat fleshy leaf that blooms on an erect, basal, peduncel 10 to 14" [25 t o35 cm] long, 3 bracted, rachis to 3.2" [8 cm] long, 6 to 8 flowered inflorescence with aptent, floral bracts.
