Common Name The Mali River Taeniophyllum [New Guinea]

Found from New Guinea South to Queensland Australia as a small, leafless epiphyte at elevations of 80 to 150 meters on small twigs as a tangled mass that is perched in the upper levels of tall trees where they get bright light where it blooms on a horizontal 2" [5 cm] long, several [15] flowered inflorescence with them opening in succession one by one on a extending compressed rhachis with 3 persistant bracts and nonresupinate, nocturnal ephemeral, fragrant flowersall occuring at any time of the year.
