Found in Peru and Bolivia in cool wet, montane cloud forests at elevations around 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with an ascending rhizome carrying elliptic-oblong, acute, conduplicate leaves that blooms in the late fall and winter on a terete, slender, erect, 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence

Said to be a synonym of T vargasii and they are very similar but I leave them apart for now.
