Common Name The Puruanta Telipogon [A community in Imbabura Ecuador]

Flower Size 1.6" [3.5 cm]

Found in Imbabura province of Ecuador at elevations around 3300 to 3400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a flattened stem enveloped by imbricate leaf sheaths and carrying coriaceous, narrowly obovate, apiculate, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate base leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal to lateral, terete, racemose, peduncle to 1" [2.5 cm] long, 1 internode, to .8" [2 cm] long, successively single, flowered inflorescence with ovate-triangular floral bracts.
