Common Name The Puruanta Telipogon [A community in Imbabura Ecuador]

Found in Imbabura Ecuador at elevations around 3300 to 3400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a flattened stem enveloped by imbricate leaf sheaths and carrying coriaceous, narrowly obovate, apiculate, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate base leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal to lateral, terete, racemose, to .8" [2 cm] long, successively single flowered inflorescence with ovate-triangular floral bracts.
