Found in Quindio, Caldas and Risaralda departments of Colombia at elevations of 2900 to 3300 meters as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte with an erect, leafy throughout stem carrying oblong, apiculate, carinate beneath, basally sheathing leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an apical, elongate, to 4" [10 cm] long, terete, successively single, 5 to 7 flowered inflorescence with ovate, non carinate floral bracts.
