Found in Cuba on malpighia bushes as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with inconspicuous stems carrying 2 to 7, basal, fleshy, erect to falciform, canaliculate below, conduplicate to subcylindric above, fleshy, acute leaves that blooms in the later spring on a filiform, ereect, sparsely bracteate, [to 3.6" [9 cm] long, simple to sparsely branches, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence with thin, acuiminate, ovate floral bracts
