Found in northwestern Tasmania in rock crevasses and shallow soil pockets on low rocky outcrops in bleak areas near the sea at elevations of sea level to 200 meters as a minaiture to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, often curved leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 2 to 5.6" [7 to 14 cm] long, 1 to 5 flowered inflorescence with 1 sterile bract.
