Found in Queensland and New South Wales Australia in moist to wet grassy areas along rainforest margins and wet sclerophylla forests at elevations of sealevel to 800 meters as a cold growing terrestrial with a single, elongate leaf that blooms in the late fall through spring on an erect, provided with 3 sterile bracts, 8 to 24" [20 to 60 cm] long, 2 to 10 flowered inflorescence
