Common Name Bentham's Thelymitra [English Botanist 1800's] - In Australia The Blotched Sun Orchid - The Leopard Sun Orchid

Flower Size 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm]

Found as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrrestrial in South Australia and Western Australia in light shade to full sun in wet winter areas and granite outcrops in open forest, heathy forests and heathlands at elevations of sea level to 350 meters with a broad, light green to yellowish, single leaf that blooms in the spring in nature on an erect, 8 to 16 cm] long, 2 to 6 flowered inflorescence and can have very color variable, long-lasting flowers.
