Common Name The Obtuse Thelasis

Found in Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Lesser Sunda Islands and the Philippines at elevations of 600 to 1500 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with more or less globose easily visible pseudobulbs partially enveloped at the sides by smaller leaves and carrying a single thick, fleshy, v-shaped in cross-section in the basal half leaf that blooms in the later spring on an erect, arsing from the basal leaf sheath axis, green, to 8.8" [22 cm] long, elongating, densely successively many flowered inflorescence with only a few flowers open at any one time
