Common Name The Stained Thrixspermum [possibly refers to the dirty brown color of the sac of the lip]

Flower Size 1.72" [4.3 cm] long,

Found in Kalimantan and Sabah Borneo in hill forests on very old trees at elevations of 650 to 700 meters as a medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with climbing, leafy in the distal part stems provided with compressed green sheths and carrying spreading, ligulate, often slightly epanded towrds the apex, green, sometimes marked with maroon i nyouth, leathery, obtuse, unequally bilobed leaves that blooms in the later spring on several, from the nodes at mid stem, peduncle 1.8 to 4" [4.5 to 10 cm] long, from a narrow base expanding to before the rachis, strongly compressed, sharp winged, green, rachis compressed to 2.2" [5.5 cm] long, yellow green to green, sporadically 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence with compressed, ovate to unequally oblong, subacute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
