Found in Sri Lanka in tropical dry, mixed evergreen forests at elevations below 300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying a few, dark violet spotted, narrowly linear, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on 1 to 2, erect, to 2" [5 cm] long, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with ovate-subulalte, fleshy, persistent, obtuse, single veined floral bracts and carrying pale yellow flowers
