Found in western Colombia and western Ecuador as a small to just medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with cylindric pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, plicate, sessile, oblong-elliptic, acute leaves that blooms on a lateral, pendent, 4" [10 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence with imbricate bracts and narrowly ovate-lanceolate, long acuminate floral bracts and carrying fleshy flowers
