Found in Sri Lanka on tree trunks in damp evergreen forests at elevations of 200 to 500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with close set, small pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, thick, persistent, elliptic leaf that blooms in the springon a 1.2" [3 cm] long, 1 to rarely 3 flowered inflorescence
