Found in Borneo, Java and Sumatra in montane forests at elevations of 1000 to 1700 meters as a large to giant sized, cool growing epiphyte with a pendulous stem bearing, pale green, narrowly lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous [margins may be slightly hairy] leaves that blooms in the late spring on a short, densely brown-hairy, densely to 15 flowered inflorescence with persistent pale green bracts and carrying short-lived flowers.
