Found in Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and Venezuela in lowland, tropical and premontane rainforests at elevations around 225 to 1000 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with nearly obsolete pseudobulbs each carrying a single, apical, fleshy, oblong-lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate, acute, gradually narrows below into the base leaves and blooms at any time of the year on a lateral, pendant, racemose, 3/4" to 1 3/4" [2 to 4 cm] long, successively single, few [3 to 5] flowered inflorescence with concave, triangular, acute bracts.
