Common Name The Juinin Trichopilia [Peruvian town]

A winter through summer flowering, warm to cool growing, caespitose epiphyte from Peru and Colombia that is found in wet montane forests at altitudes of 1000 to 1700 meters, with an oblong, complanate pseudobulb enveloped basally by several, scarious sheaths and carrying a single apical, narrowly elliptic-lanceolate, acute, basally conduplicate and sessile into the base leaf and blooms on a basal, 1" [2.4 cm] 1 to 3 flowered, racemose inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and held below the leaf .
