Common Name Hajek's Trichoceros [Peruvian Orchid Enthusiast - Current]

Found in Peru in very cool, wet puna [High Andes mountain plain] on rock outcroppings at elevations of 3200 to 3300 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with an ovoid-globose psueuddopbulb with 2 to 3 leaf bearing bracts and a single, apical, erect, lanceolate, acuminate-apiculate, coriaceous, conduplicate below into the base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, slender, 8" [20 cm] long, long pedunculate, racemose inflorescence with tubular, ovate floral bracts that are shorter than the ovaries and has 2 flowers held well above the leaf.
