Found in Mexico Guatemala and El Salvador at elevations of 2000 to 3000 meters in oak, pine, juniper forest, as a miniature sized, cool growing, small, creeping, caespitose epiphyte with a slender ramicaul envelopd by lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, fleshy, oblanceolate to elliptic, shortly petiolate, obtuse to acute, tridenticulate leaf that blooms on a 2 1/4" [6cm] long, subdense, successively several flowered inflorescence with infundibuliform-pointed, membraneous floral bracts carrying the small, bilabiate flowers held well above the leaf and 3 to 5 simultaneously open flowers at a time occuring at any time of the year.
