Common Name Santuary's Trichosalpinx [refers to Santuario Católico de la Divina Misericordia where the orchid was collected]

Found in Costa Rica in very wet premontane forests at elevations around 650 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with slender ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 6, tubularadpressed, ribbed, minutely ciliate along the ribs and dilated ostia, brown leapanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, semi-coriaceous, ovate, acute, apiculate, cuneate and attenuate below into the petiolae base leaf that blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, produced at the baseofthe leaf, peduncle .04" [1 mm] long, .32" [8 mm] long overall, successively 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence with clylindric, conduplicate, much shorter than the pedicel floral bract.
