Common Name or Meaning The Closely Related Trichoglottis [refers to the fact that Schlecter felt there may be a few species in the populations of this species that he described]

Found only in New Guinea and the Solomon Islands on trees at elevations of 30 to 400 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphtye with a flexous, densely leaf stem carrying narrowly ligulate-lanceolate, subacute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the spring and fall on several, axillary, short, subsessile, single flowered inflorescence with minute, triangular floral bracts and holding the flower at the leaf axils.
