Common Name The Gentian-Like Triphora
Flower Size 1/4" [.6 cm]
Found in Florida, Bahamas, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador at low elevations as a mini-miniature to small sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with a subterranean corm giving rise to an erect, green suffused with brown, succulent, terete stem carrying 3 to 10, green tinged with brown, margins smooth, ovate, ascending leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, terminal, corymbose, to 8" [20 cm] long, 3 to 10 flowered inflorescence
