Found in the eastern Himalayas, Assam, Nepal, and Thailand at elevations of 1000 to 1700 as a pendent, small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a stem enveloped by veined leaf sheaths and carrying flat, oblong-elliptic, unequally bilobed apically, rounded lobes, narrowing to the jointed base leaves that blooms in the summer on a glabrous, pendent, 2 to 3" [5 to 7.5 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence
