Found in the Comoro Islands and northern Madagascar around rocks in low elevation vegetation at elevations of sea level to 200 meters as a large sized, hot growing leafless epiphyte with an elongate, thicker stem that blooms in the summer and fall on terminal, successively single, 10 to 20 flowered inflorescene.
