Vanilla organensis Rolfe 1896 SUBGENUS Vanilla Drawing by Hoehne and The Swiss Orchid Foundation at the Jany Renz Herbaria Website

Common Name The Organ Mountains Vanilla

Flower Size

Found in Brazil and northeastern Paraguay as a viney terrestrial.

A membranaceous Vanilla which seems to be closely related and perhaps not distinct from V. parvifolia, except for its more ruffled tepals, a trait that is very variable in other membranaceous vanillas. V. edwallii and V. bertoniensis are allied, but both have a long acuminate lip. Soto Arenas & Cribb 2010
