Flower Size 1.8 to 2.2" [4.5 to 5.5 cm]

Found in Sulawesi on scrub trees in high grassy valleys at elevations around 1200 meters as a large sized, warm to cool growing epiphtye with an erect, occasionally basally branching stem carrying many, crowded, basally overlapping, strap shaped, sharply keeled beneath, unequally bilobed apically, with a short mucro between leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an axillary, arching, cream colored, 6.4 to 8.4" [16 to 21 cm] long, 5 to 8, loosely flowered inflorescence and carrying fragrant, rather thick and fleshy flowers
