Found in Kalimantan Borneo and Ambon Island of the Moluccas in lowland forests along rivers at elevations of 150 to 900 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with erect, unbranched, cylindrical stems that are leafy throughout and carrying in 2 opposite rows, green, coriaceous, strap-shaped, V-shaped in the proximal third, abaxially keeled, unequally bilobed apically lobes triangular, acute to obtuse, rather loosely basally clasping leaves that blooms in the mid fall through early spring on an axillary, erect to suberect, cylindrical, green, slightly fractiflex, 2.4 to 4" [6 to 10 cm] long, 1 to 5 flowered inflorescence carrying stiff, waxy flowers
