Found in Thailand, Malaysia and Borneo in tropical lowland rainforests on limestone and in riverine secondary forests at elevations around 300 to 800 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a dark purplish red, erect stem carrying a few, 1 to 3 pale longitudinal striped, ovate, acute leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a 1" [2.5 cm] long, dense, many flowered inflorescence
