Common Name or Meaning The Blue Warreella

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Colombia and Venezuela at elevations of 1650 to 1800 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with ovoid pseudobulbs enveloped completely by basally clasping leaf sheaths and carrying plicate, elliptical to lanceolate, acuminate, gradually narrowing below and articulate into the base leaves that blooms in the late summer to early fall on an erect, axillary from the base, in the apical half, laxly to subdensely few to several flowered, 12 to 20" [30 to 50 cm] long inflorescence arising on a newly arising growth with a few, tubular, acuminate bracts and ovate-lanceolate, to lanceolate, acute, concave floral bracts carrying flowers with no fragrance, and is similar to growing Phaius and plicate leaved Eulophias.
