Found in western Antioquia Colombia at elevations of 2350 to 2380 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with smallish pseudobulbs divided into several internodes enveloped by leafless and leaf bearing sheaths and carrying large, plicate leaves that blooms on an erect, lateral, racemose, few to several flowered inflorescence
