Found in penninsular Malayasia in lowland forests as a small sized, hot growing terrestrial with 6 well spaced, ovate, blunt leaves that blooms on a slender, shortly hairy, 6.8" [17 cm] long, provided with 2 to 3 sterile bracts, rachis to 3.2" [8 cm] long, about 11 flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts.

CAUTION Seidenfaden and Omerod both speculate that this species, found only once in Perak, may be conspecific with the variable and widespread Z nervosa
