Common Name or Meaning The Bur Like Zootrophion [refers to the flowers appearance]

Found in Cundinamarca Colombia at elevations around 1500 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with stout, erect ramicauls enveloped by 4 to 6, loose, oblique, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a .32 to .4" [.8 to 1 cm] long, successively single flowered inflorescence arising through an annulus from near the apex of the ramicaul and has oblique, acute floral bracts.
