Found in New Guinea on trees in range forests at elevations around 450 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with obliquely ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, ligulate, obtuse to minutely apiculate, attenuate below into the base leaf that blooms in the fall on a very short, single flowered inflorescence.

The flowers are yellowish striped with brown red, the petals whitish and the lip is greenish.
