Found in eastern Madagascar in humid evergreen forests on twigs and branches at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short, woody, erect to horizontal stem carrying 2 to 6, held in a fan, elliptic to broadly elliptic, minutely bilobed apically, conduplicate and almost petiolate basally, dark green leaves that blooms in the summer on 1 to 3, pendant, axillary, arising below the leaves, 10" [25 cm] long, 7 to 9 flowered inflorescence.
