Common Name or Meaning The Western Agrostophyllum

Found in Seychelles and northern Madagascar at elevations of 300 to 800 meters as a large sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial under large trees forming dense clumos with flattened stems carrying rigid sheaths with several, linear-lanceolate, obtusely bidentate apicaaly leaves that blooms in the late spring and summer on a terminal, sessile, spherical head .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] wide, of many, clustered 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.
