Common Name or Meaning Bohnk's Prosthechea [Brazilian Orchid Enthusiast Current]

Found in Bahia state of Brazil in rainforests at elevations around 1000 meters as a medium to large sized, warm growing epiphyte with cylindric, laterally compressed, 6 noded pseudobulbs enveloped in youth by 4, imbricating, deciduous sheaths and carrying 3, apical, subcoriaceous, acute, keeled dorsally, dark green leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, arising through 3 imbricating, spathulate spathes, 12.4" [31 cm] long, 21 flowered inflorescence with small, triangular , much shorter than the pedicel floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate flowers
