Common Name Farfan's Prosthechea [Peruvian Orchid Enthusiast current]

Found in Cusco department of southern Peru at elevations of 2100 to 2600 meters as a medium sized, cold growing, caespitose lithophyte with spindle shaped, glossy pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, linear-lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the later summer on a terminal, erect, arising through a spathe, racemose, the peduncel to 3.7" [9.5 cm] long, rachis 1.4" [3.7 cm] long, to 5 flowered inflorescence with minute floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate, cupped flowers

"Similar to P hajekii but differs in the markings on the sepals and petals distributed differently, forming a broad concentric ring leaving the apices unmarked, the rounded lateral lip lobes without nipple-like subacute apices and by having a shorter callus." Christenson 2002
