Found in Bolivar state of Venezuela in gallery forests at elevations around 1750 to 1800 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a thick rhizome with .92{" [2.3 cm] between each, short to fairly well developed, ellipsoid pseudobulbs basally eneveloped by evanescent sheaths and carrying leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, arising through a spathe, 2.8" [7 cm] long, 2 to 5 flowered inflorescence carrying non-resupinate flowers with widely spreading creamy white segments, a white lip with 15 to 17 longitudibnal purple nerves, the innermost nerves bifurcate apically.

"Similar to Anacheilium fragrans but the stigma is ovate-cordate, the callus is slightly depressed, the column has a deeper clinandrium with shorter lateral teeth and the 2 species are gewographically isolated as A fragrans does not occur in Venezuela." Withner & Harding 2004
