Found in Bahia and Minas Gerias states of Brazil on rocks and cliff faces at elevations around 300 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing rupicolous orchid with robust, ovoid, slightly compressed pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, leathery, intensely green leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, 1.2" [3 cm] long, 7 to 10 flowered inflorescence
