Common Name The Butterfly Anacheilium [refers to the flowers appearance]
Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]
Found in Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais near Serra da Canastra, Rio de Janiero, Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catalina states of Brazil on tree trunks in open forests as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with narrowed, conical-oblong, clustered pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical leaves and blooms on a terminal, 12.8" [32 cm] long, racemose, many flowered inflorescence.
