Found in Rio de Janiero state of Brazil as a miniature sized, caespitose epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 tubular sheaths and carrying an erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, cuneate below into the subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a peduncle arising from near the apex of the ramicaul, .16 to .24" [4 to 6 mm] long, successively single, 2 flowered inflorescence with shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.
