Common Name The Pug-Nosed Anacheilium [refers to the column's shape]
Flower Size 2 3/4" [7 cm]
Found in Panama province of Panama and Colombia at elevations of 600 to 1400 meters in wet montane forests and is a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with elongate pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, lanceolate leaf that blooms in the winter on terminal, erect, 2.2" [5.5 cm] long, racemose, few flowered inflorescence with deltoid, acute, much shorter than the pedicel floral bracts and carrying very fragrant flowers.
Similar to Anacheilium fragrans (Sw.) Acuña 1939 but differs mostly in the white flowers with more elongate, narrower lip, pinkish tepal veins, a creamy white lip with violet veins and a prominent bilobed callus.
