Common Name Wang's Herminium

Flower Size

Found in southwestern Sichuan and northwestern Yunnan China in forests at elevations around 2800 to 3500 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with globose tubers giving rise to an erect to ascending, slender stem with 2 tubular sheaths and a single, basal, oblong, obtuse leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an erect, peduncle .6 to 3.2" [1.5 to 8 cm] long, rachis .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm] long, 3 to 8 flowered inflorescence with spirally twisted, linear, shorter than the ovary, acuminate floral bracts and carrying green flowers
