Common Name Cadet's Angraecum [French Botanist from Reunion 1900's]

Found in Maritius and Reunion Islands in wet, inland forests at elevations of 300 to 1000 meters as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a stem enveloped completely by leaf bearing sheaths and carrying, in 2 rows, flexible, slightly folded above the mid-rib, dark green above, paler beneath, veined, ligulate leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an axillary, spreading to pendant, 2 to 6" [5 to 15 cm] long, 2 to 5 flowered inflorescence with pale green becoming whiter with age, fleshy flowers
